Her Family decided her name Aindrita Ray; people known her by her short name Aindrita Ray. The father of Aindrita Ray is in Indian Air force and her mother is Child Psychologist.

She settled with her family in Bangalore for sometime and after that they shifted to Mumbai. Aindrita Ray started her filmy career in 2007 but Aindrita Ray started acting in 2008 by her first movie named Meravanige in which her character name was Nandini and it was a Kannada movies.
